2.13 Million Concurrent Users Were Playing Black Myth: Wukong At Launch on Steam

The game is breaking records and winning over fans in droves.


Despite the protestations of some media personalities and social media users, gamers, the actual paying customers, have spoken loudly and clearly: they want to play Black Myth: Wukong. The game officially launched today, 08.20.24, and while we don't have PlayStation numbers, we do have Steam's, and they're telling. 2.13 million concurrent users logged in and were playing Wukong at launch.



This number puts Wukong ahead of the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 and Palworld, which both had impressive debuts of 1 million and 2.1 million concurrent users, respectively. Despite this impressive showing, PUBG remains on top with 3.3. million. Regardless, developer Game Science is likely very pleased with this news as Wukong starts to make a name for itself.
