State of Play: Here's One Last Look at wolverine before it Launches

The game continues to be the subject of much consternation among fans.

Insomniac's upcoming Marvel's Wolverine has been getting a lot of attention of late, and not for the happiest of reasons. Outrage over unattractive character models, especially of female characters, use of the name Team X instead of X-Men, and a seeming lack of understanding as Logan as a character have many concerned about the fate of Wolverine's latest video game outing. Marvel's Wolverine launches on September 15, 2026, so there's not a lot of time left for any damage control. Still, the latest trailer at least tries to make a go of it. Have a look for yourself:

In case you're wondering, yes, that's Lady Deathstrike and no, that doesn't look like her at all. Insomniac continues to perplex with its design choices, and many have taken to the web to voice their frustrations. Will any of the outrage amount to diminished sales?
