A new take on the omnibus is coming next year!

If there's anything people on social media like to do, it's taking pictures of shelves of comic book ominibuses that they've never read. We jest, surely, but the point is thatthe omnibus has arguably never been more popular. Both Marvel and DC Comics have been turning to retreads of older, better comic books in recent years with various rereleases of classic runs in numerous formats. Omnibuses are usually hardcovers, but Marvel is changing things up with the introduction of Marvel Brick in 2027.

The Brick initiative sees Marvel taking some of its classic (and no-so-classic) stories and reprinting them in thick paperback editions. So, fans will get the quantity of story found in an omnibus but in a more economical softcover format. These compendiums will launch with four different books, with more to come. The first quartet is...

  • Uncanny X-Men: All New, All Different

  • Superior Spider-Man: Hero of Menace?

  • Uncanny X-Force: The Apocalypse Solution

  • The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Eats Nuts, Kicks Butts

Bearing the tagline "Build Your House Of Ideas Brick By Brick," it's yet another effort to draw in readers both new and old by the House of Ideas. No word on pricing just yet, but when we learn more details, we'll be sure to let you all know. What do you think of Marvel Brick? Why not share with us on social media!
