Capcom Fighting Collection 2 has also been confirmed for the platform.
Conspicuous in its absence when announced for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics seemed to be coming to every platform except for Xbox. Whether it was always in the cards or perhaps fan consternation was robust enough to warrant a second look, Capcom has announced that the compilation will indeed be coming to Microsoft's consoles—in 2025. Hey, better late than never. In case you've yet to see the list, here are all of the games included:
X-Men Children of the Atom
Marvel Super Heroes
X-Men vs. Street Fighter
Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
Marvel vs. Capcom Clash of Super Heroes
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 New Age of Heroes
The Punisher
Capcom also announced that Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will be coming to Xbox in 2025, as well. Here's a refresher on what's in that game, which was revealed during the recent Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase (and will apparently feature heavy censorship):
Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001
Capcom Fighting Evolution
Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER
Project Justice
Power Stone
Power Stone 2
Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein
Both sets of compilations will come with a variety of extras in tow, as well as online play with Rollback Netcode. Alas, we don't know when exactly in 2025 both games will launch, but once we have a definitive release date for each, we'll let you know.
