Batman/Deadpool #1 will then hit shops in November.

Remember when comic shops desperately needed help during the COVID-19 lockdowns? And many fans declared that if Marvel and DC did a crossover project together (after many decades since the last one) at that time that it would be the perfect thing to help drive sales? Well, Marvel and DC ignored that for like six years, but are now ready to finally give fans the crossover they've been asking for. In the first of multiple team-ups to come, Marvel will be launching Deadpool/Batman #1 on September 17, 2025. Then, in November, DC will publish Batman/Deadpool #1.
The series sees Batman and Deadpool joining forces to stop a city-wide threat from (oh, you already know) the Joker. It all certainly sounds exciting until you hear who the headlining writer for these comics is: Zeb Wells. Zeb "his Amazing Spider-Man run was really awful" Wells. Sigh. But hey, at least he'll be joined by Greg Capullo on art. It's a shame that Capullo is (likely) going to be drawing the hell out of another subpar story (see Wolverine: Revenge), but who knows, maybe Wells can get back on track with this one.
Oh, here's a quote from Wells:
In Batman we've found someone who has even less time for Deadpool's antics than Wolverine, but a city-wide threat from the Joker makes strange bedfellows (literally, if Deadpool had his way).
Ah. Never mind.
On the DC side of things, Grant Morrison will be scribing Batman/Deadpool #1 with Dan Mora collaborating on art. These comics will feature backup stories starring other Marvel and DC heroes partnering up for various adventures, but as of now it's unknown which characters and which creators will be involved. Given the current shakiness of the industry, a book like Deadpool/Batman is only going to help drive readers into shops, so here's hoping that it can justify the hype when it launches this fall.
