DC Next Level: One Shot #1 Announced

Deadshot uncovers a major conspiracy within the DC universe!

DC's Next Level publishing initiative continues with a new one-shot coming to comic book shops this summer. On August 19, 2026, Next Level: One Shot #1 will center on Deadshot in a48-page (wait for it) one-shot that sets the assassin on a mission that will have major repercussions for the DC universe. The issue will be written by Gerry Duggen and illustrated by Fernando Blanco.

Here's DC's synopsis of the issue:

In Next Level: One Shot, DC’s deadliest assassin goes to the Next Level and uncovers a conspiracy that will change everything. Duggan and Blanco tell the tale of a job gone sideways, a father and his daughter, and a web of super-powered lies that stretches throughout the entire DC Next Level cast of characters…and points in the direction of war on the horizon. This epic issue tells you everything you need to know about what’s next for Next Level…if you survive the experience.

The press release then goes on to highlight how more "creator-driven #1s and bold new directions" for various DC characters, including Batwoman, Deathstroke, Deadman, the Teen Titans, and others.
