Four books will continue the longtime series of collections formerly printed by Marvel Comics.

Back in July during San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Clover Press was looking to revive the defunct Marvel Masterworks imprint. Marvel Comics abandoned the line of archival collections back in 2025, leaving longtime readers in a lurch as many series were left mid-run. After 20 years and over 380 volumes printed, the Marvel Masterworks lines had been a staple of the industry; the thought of it just stopping was a strange and unsettling one, indeed. It seems that Clover agreed, as did the fans who took to the publisher's crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter with gusto to ensure that Marvel Masterworks would make a comeback.

Now, the first four volumes are being prepped for a February 2027 release. Here are the books that fans can look forward to:

Clover, in proper, appropriate nerd fashion, is making sure that its run publishing Marvel Masterworks maintains the legacy numbering and trade dress of the originals so as to satisfy longtime collectors. It's an absolutely wonderful thing to do, but the publisher also wants to lure new readers to the line, so there will be other cover options to choose from, too. If you're interested in these books, let your local comic book shop know now and get in an order.
