SDCC: DC Studios Unveils New Logo

A throwback to better times at DC Comics.

Update: 07.30.24

Taking a look at DC's official news channel, it's come to our attention that DC Studios isn't the only place that the iconic Martin Glaser logo will be featured. Jim Lee has stated that the bullet will also be coming back to the covers of DC Comics this October. So fans can expect to see the logo again not too long from now.

Original Story Below

DC Studios is getting a rebrand. The beleaguered studio is doing everything it can to swing interest back in its favor following multiple box office bombs over the past few years. James Gunn's upcoming Superman film is a major turning point for Warner Bros. and its superhero movies, so it makes sense that the studio might want a makeover in place before then. Here's the end result: an all-new logo for DC Studios that harkens back to the glory days of DC Comics:

The announcement was made during San Diego Comic-Con. Here's James Gunn's post on X:

For those who don't know, this is the longtime DC Comics logo designed by Milton Glaser back in the '70s. Lovingly referred to as the DC bullet, this reuse of the design is a delightful nod to the past. When will DC Comics get its head on straight and return the bullet to the covers of its own monthly publications? Who knows, but for now it will be used by DC Studios, which is better than nothing.
