Polarizing streamer Jeff Grubb among those that have separated from the company.

Polygon wasn't the only outlet shaken by personnel departures yesterday, as Giant Bomb has also come to suffer from "restructuring" at the hands of its parent company. Fandom, Inc. is the parent company in question this time around, which allegedly found itself at odds with the staff of the Giant Bombcast podcast. The scuttlebutt making the rounds online is that a recent episode of the show was pulled for poking fun at policy changes coming from Fandom brass.
The ensuing internal turmoil has resulted in multiple staffers taking to social media to declare that they're no longer working for the company. Among those now separated from Giant Bomb are Jeff Gerstman, Mike Minotti, Jeff Grubb, and Dan Ryckert. Fandom is well aware of the ruckus this is causing for the brand and gave the following statement:

We understand this programming pause isn't ideal for our audience, but it's part of a strategic reset and realignment of our media brands. We have some creative ideas for the future of Giant Bomb that we're actively working on that we'll be able to communicate more about soon.
"Strategic reset" – don't you just love corporate speak? It's unclear what will happen with Giant Bomb and the Giant Bombcast moving forward. Both are fairly enmeshed with the personalities that were involved and now departed, so it's going to likely be an uphill battle for Fandom to provide replacements that will please fans.
