Dark Horse has revealed that the 25th volume of its long-running Plants vs. Zombies graphic novels is on its way. Dubbed Plants vs. Zombies: It's a Dogz Life, the comic will be hitting stores in February of 2026. Writer Paul Tobin (who has written all 24 volumes of the series respect!) and artist Christianne Gillenardo-Goudreau will be on creative duties.

Here's what fans can expect from the story;

Dr. Zomboss, the constant scourge of Neighborville and leader of the zombie army, needs help! While Patrice, Nate, Crazy Dave, and the plants normally wouldn’t be concerned, it’s his dog that's missing, and who wouldn’t want to help someone find their lost dog?! Of course, since it’s Zomboss, there’s no telling what could go wrong. And his dog may be the smartest one for getting lost in the first place!

Tobin says "I have never for one minute regretted starting this journey, sharing these stories with millions, or building the giant 16 foot tall Zomboss robot that carries me around town." If you're interested, pre-orders are open right now. The book will be available for sale starting February 3, 2026 in book stores and February 4, 2026 in comic book shops. Either head to an online book seller or (even better) hit up your local comic book shop to ask for a copy.
