NYCC '26: The Amazing Spider-Man/Miles Morales: Spider-Man: Crisis of Faith Coming in April 2027

This crossover will pit the two web slingers against one another.

One of the poorer decisions Marvel Comics has made in recent memory was the decision to fold Miles Morales into the Marvel 616 universe. Instead of being the sole Spider-Man of the Ultimate Universe as he was, he instantly became second fiddle to the original version of the character. Ever since, Marvel has struggled to carve out a place for the second Spider-Man in the mainline universe. The Spectacular Spider-Men, the abysmal team-up series from writer Greg Weisman, proved how hard it is to mesh the two characters because the age gap makes them having a friendship far too awkward; why would a guy in his late 20s to early 30s be hanging out with a kid in high school?

Now, it seems, Marvel has decided that the two Spider-Men should be at odds with one another, instead. Coming in April 2027, The Amazing Spider-Man/Miles Morales: Spider-Man: Crisis of Faith will see the pair coming to blows over how Peter has been handling things in his life. Miles hasn't always seen eye-to-eye with Peter about how the hero handles things as Spider-Man, and the recent events with Hellgate will apparently be fueling some of the younger hero's consternation. Writers Joe Kelly and Bryan Hill will be handling writing duties, while artist Ryan Stegman is on... covers. Yeah, we wish Stegman would do more interiors, too, dear readers. When we learn who is on art, we'll share it with all of you here
