Mike Mignola and Jesse Lonergan reunite to continue the Miss Truesdale saga.

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola continues to dabble in different corners of the universe that he breathed to life back in 1993. Mignola is reuniting with artist Jesse Lonergan for another go at the Miss Truesdale character with another miniseries following the warm reception to Miss Truesdale and the Fall of Hyperborea last year. Dubbed Miss Truesdale and the Rise of Man, the comic will begin with its first issue dropping on December 10, 2025.

Here's what to expect from the series:
Fans first met unassuming Miss Truesdale in Victorian England when she discovered her shocking connection to the ancient gladiator, Anum Yassa. She is thrown into her past life to battle an ancient evil and protect the future. Now in Miss Truesdale and the Rise of Man, Anum Yassa wanders the forest in search of answers about her past, present, and future lives - only to discover a dark entity on her trail and threatening all of mankind.
Mignola says that he found himself "fascinated by the very beginnings of [the Hellboy world]," which led him down the path of creating these adventures starring Miss Truesdale. His collaborator, Lonergan, says the book "[explores] a new world and battling all manner of monsters and beasts. These travels and battles culminate in a confrontation that reveals deep truths about the Hellboy Universe."
Be sure to hit up your local comic book shop and put in a pre-order for Miss Truesdale and the Rise of Man #1 if you want a copy this December.
