After multiple delays, the game is finally ready to release.
Initially announced back in 2021, Dotemu and developer Leikir's Metal Slug Tactics has been delayed multiple times since it was revealed to the public. However, back in July fans got a look at the past, present, and future of the series via a nice little video where current and past Metal Slug devs got to chat. It seemed like Metal Slug Tactics was inching closer to launch and now we know that it is indeed very close: November 5, 2024 to be exact. Here's a new trailer to tide you over:
Dotemu says that there will also be a physical release of the game, as well as that composer Tee Lopes handled the soundtrack. What's more, characters from the game Ikari Warriors will also be playable. As the name suggests, Metal Slug Tactics is a tactical RPG, although it will also feature some roguelike elements in conjunction with hand-crafted maps.
