Coming this July to Disney+.

Disney Marvel has been on the skids ever since Avengers: Endgame in 2019. There have been some bright spots, however, and among them is X-Men '97. This continuation of the classic Fox X-Men cartoon from the '90s has proven to be quite popular among fans, and now Disney has pulled back the curtain on the second season of the show. Take a look:
Here's what Marvel has to say about the second season's plot:

X-Men ’97 Season 2 continues with the heroic mutant team of X-Men, divided and thrown across different eras in time as they struggle to navigate their return home. Meanwhile, back in the 1990s, suspicious foes and new strains of mutant intolerance are on the rise in the wake of the X-Men’s absence.
It will be interesting to see how this second season of the series shakes out, given former showrunner Beau DeMayo's dramatic firing and subsequent bombastic social media posts talking about the whole ordeal, including claims of discriminatory action by Marvel against him. Although now departed, DeMayo is still listed as a writer for the show, but the question remains: will his absence prove to be too much for X-Men '97 to withstand? Fans will find out this summer when the nine-episode season will premier on July 1, 2026 on Disney+.
