Latest Street Fighter Trailer Continues to Rock

We might actually get a movie adaptation that doesn't suck.

Paramount and Legendary are bringing Capcom's Street Fighter series back to the silver screen this fall. Releasing on October 16, 2026, Street Fighter is shaping up to be one of those rare Hollywood adaptations that actually delivers something mostly respectful of the source IP. Don't just take our word for it, give the trailer a look and see for yourself:

The movie is a period piece set in 1993, which is a nice nod to the glory days of the franchise when it was first becoming hot in arcades and on home consoles with the likes of Street Fighter II. The series has experienced a true resurgence with the popularity of Street Fighter 6, so it's the perfect time to try and capitalize on the series' return to prominence with this new film. Astoundingly, the cast mostly looks like the characters should, and by God there's even a hint of... sexiness? What year is it?!
