Frank Miller and a bunch of legendary artists are getting in on the action, too!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles debuted as an indie comic back in 1984. A passion project from creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, TMNT was produced in the friends' humble home's living room and hand-packed by the two men themselves to be sent off to comic book shops around the country. From its small beginnings to the multimedia empire that it is today, it's one heck of an accomplishment. And this July, the comic book series will be celebrating its 300th issue in spectacular fashion.
First off, in terms of story, issue 300 sees a new blockbuster storyline begin. The City That Never Dies will be written by current series scribe Gene Luen Yiang and illustrated by Freddie Williams II, and deals with Splinter's return from the grave. Then, fans can enjoy a backup story from Kevin Eastman and Tim Waltz that explore's the series' legacy. Finally, a lineup of artists from throughout TMNT's history will be there to celebrate. Here's a breakdown of the artists and covers that will be available:
