State of Play: Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Releases in 2026

A new 4v4 fighting game from Arc System Works.

Yesterday's State of Play showcase was full of interesting reveals, but a new fighting game from the masterminds behind the Guilty Gear series wasn't likely to have been on anyone's bingo card. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 fighter that pits the merry Marvel pantheon against one another in kinetic matches of skill and strength. Give it a look:

The game's four brawlers can be swapped between at any time, or be tapped in for an assist as needed. Beyond that, questions like who is on the roster remain unknown, but so far it's looking pretty MCU-focused, for better or worse. Marvel Tōkon will come to PlayStation 5 and PC at some point in 2026. Once we learn more, you'll be the first to know.
