Star Wars: The Acolyte Merchandise Removed From Disney Website

Some fans wonder if this means the show will eventually be delisted from Disney+.

News broke earlier this week that Disney will not be moving forward with a second season of its much-maligned Star Wars: The Acolyte series. The cancellation of the Disney+ show has sparked a lot of reaction online, but a new development has fans wondering if the entire debacle might get swept under the rug. Today, fans who went to search for The Acolyte merchandise on the official Disney Store website found that is has all been seemingly removed for sale.

This is all that's currently left of The Acolyte merchandise on the Disney Store website.

This isn't entirely true, as a search within the past hour by this writer revealed four pieces of The Acolyte clothing are still available for purchase. However, the various toys and other products that were produced for the show remain absent. This has gotten many online to wonder if perhaps Disney is gearing up to delist The Acolyte from Disney+ in order to recoup some of the financial losses suffered from the series' reported $180 million production budget. Disney has done this before in May of 2023 when it removed the abortive Willow series from Disney+ for similar reasons. However, while Willow was absolutely a failure, it pales in comparison to The Acolyte.

Is Leslye Headland's hated Star Wars series destined for a similar fate? We'll keep you all posted.
