SNK VS Capcom SVC Chaos Is Available Now

The classic fighting game seems to be the victim of some censorship, however.

The good news: SNK Vs Capcom SVC Chaos is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam. The classic fighting game from 2003 brings with it a litany of improvements, such as modernized online infrastructure as well as some quality of life enhancements, including a hitbox viewer and the ability to see each fighter’s collision areas. There's even a gallery viewer with over 80 illustrations to gawk at.

The bad news: the game seems to have had some of its marketing censored. Mai and Athena have both had their cleavage either obscured or removed from all promotional and key art for this remaster. There is also a trigger warning inserted at the start of the game, although what could be considered offensive isn't elaborated on. Many fans are incensed by this continued demonization of content that only a small, extreme portion of people (many of whom aren't even customers) find offensive.

Beyond that, however, SNK Vs Capcom SVC Chaos is otherwise presented without filter. Hopefully as fan outcry continues to grow over these acts of censorship, developers and publishers will stop subjecting fans to them.
