Reminder: XBOX Games Showcase Set For Sunday

Be prepared for "world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates and more."

Man, it's going to be a busy week for video game fans. Today is Sony's big June State of Play broadcast, which will kick off at 2 PM PST. Then, Friday is the Summer Game Fest showcase from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. After that, Sunday will be the XBOX Games Showcase at 10 AM PST followed by the Gears of War: E-Day Direct broadcast.

Now, while it's always an occasion when XBOX does one of its Games Showcases, this year is being touted as extra special as the brand hits its 25th anniversary. XBOX is doing everything it can to get fans excited for the showcase; here's what the company has to say about Sunday:

Under new CEO Asha Sharma, XBOX has certainly gotten a shot in the arm and feels like it's on the upswing after a long series of misfires. With this showcase and the Gear of War: E-Day Direct airing right after the showcase, Sunday might prove to be a major turning point for XBOX. We'll keep you all posted.
