Missed a pre-order? Here are some places you can try to get a witch 2 on day one.

Nintendo opened up Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders back on April 26. As expected, reservations for the console sold out rapidly, and while millions of people were able to get a pre-order in, there were many more who did not. Thankfully, there will be some options for those who were left out in the cold, as there are a number of major retailers that will be offering the console on launch day on a first come, first served basis.

Here's a breakdown of where to go and when:

Staples is indeed offering the console (one per customer), but only at select locations. Click this link and it will show you what the closest store is to you. Note that the two Nintendo retail locations in New York and San Francisco are only selling if you were able to get a reservation to come in at midnight/9 PM. Meaning, a reservation to come shop, not a reservation for a Switch 2 console. Costco is, of course, a members-only retailer, but it will have the console on launch day in-store, so if you're tocking a Costco card, it might be worth a stop (and a hotdog). Best Buy is offering a midnight launch at most of its locations and will even offer a commemorative Nintendo coin if you're lucky enough to get one.

And that's about it. Other locations might be out there, so please don't consider this an exhaustive list. Also, some stores will begin to sell Switch 2 online starting 06.05 and in some cases on 06.06. Good luck and be safe out there!
