Back-to-back broadcasts await, dear readers.

Most people were expecting a September Nintendo Direct broadcast because, well, Nintendo pretty much always does one in September. However, what wasn't expected was that the company would be airing two in one month, and back-to-back, at that. First, here's the announcement from Nintendo's official X account:

The first Direct is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series and will begin at 7 AM PST on September 8, 2026. It's expected to last 30 minutes and, frankly, it will be shocking if The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake isn't mentioned (along with that rumored Nintendo Switch 2 that was floating around online not too long ago).

The second broadcast follows the very next day on September 9, 2026, and will also air at 7 AM PST. It's set to be about 45 minutes long and will be one of Nintendo's general Direct broadcasts that covers all the big games coming out in the remainder of 2026 and beyond. It's anyone's guess what might be announced, but surely there will be a gem or two to look forward to.
