Aloy is back with enhanced visuals.
It had been rumored for a bit, but now it's official that Aloy's first adventure is coming back with enhanced visuals and DualSense support. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will launch on PlayStation 5 and PC on October 31, 2024. Give it a look in this trailer:
With this remaster, the game's visuals will be on par with those in Horizon Forbidden West. What's more, Sony is asserting that over ten hours of motion capture work has been added into the adventure. Now, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is indeed a standalone release, but if you own a copy of the original version of the game, you can upgrade to the remaster for $10.
If you're thinking, "well, I can go download the original Horizon for $20 on PSN and then get the new version for ten bucks!"... sadly, Sony was one step ahead of everyone thinking this. Now, digital copies of Horizon are at $39.99. This means if you purchase Remastered, which is $49.99, it will end up costing you the exact same amount. Them's the breaks, folks.
