SEGA continues to expand its IPs into new mediums.

It looks like Sonic is about to get some company. While Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is set for a 12.20.24 release in theaters, it won't be the last SEGA IP to hit the silver screen. Announced yesterday, a movie based on Shinobi is being developed by SEGA and Universal. Here's the announcement:

There isn't a whole lot known about the movie, but Deadline does have some details about who will be bringing Shinobi to life:

Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will produce the movie through Marc Platt Productions alongside Dmitri M. Johnson through Story Kitchen and Toru Nakahara for Sega. Mike Goldberg will executive produce alongside Timothy I. Stevenson, who is co-producing.

No release date yet for Shinobi, but once we learn more we'll be sure to update all of you.
