The rumored remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica is officially a rumor no more!

Capcom is just not stopping. The company has been producing excellent game after excellent game for a while now. In 2026 alone, fans have gotten Pragmata, Monster Hunter Stories 3, and coming in the fall is Onimusha: Way of the Sword—and of course, we can't forget Resident Evil: Requiem. It seems that Capcom isn't planning on letting RE fans take a breather, as the next installment in that legendary franchise has been announced, and it's a game that's been rumored for a long time now. Take your first look at Resident Evil Veronica:

As the name makes pretty clear, Resident Evil Code: Veronica is the basis for this game. Veronica is a remake that will catch fans up on what's been happening with Claire and Chris Redfield while paying homage to all the things that made Code: Veronica so beloved on Dreamcast 26 years ago. You'll be able to escape the horrors of Rockfort Island once more when Resident Evil Veronica comes to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Steam in 2027.
