Rumor: Metroid Ravenous Might be the Next Game in the Series

A Brazilian rating was spotted and then quickly removed.
Samus Aran might be headed on her next adventure sooner rather than later. The Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security put up and then promptly removed a rating for a game called Metroid Ravenous. Why is this noteworthy? Nintendo has never announced Metroid Ravenous. So, naturally, the Internet is now ablaze with talk and rumors.
The last game in the franchise to come out was last year's Metroid Prime 4. Prior to that was Metroid Dread in 2021. Given how close the launch of Prime 4 was, many feel like the likelihood of Ravenous being a first-person adventure is slim, and that instead this might a new 2D adventure. Until Nintendo chooses to say anything this is all just rumor, but it's fun to speculate, if nothing else.
