Peanut butter and jelly, cheese and pepperoni... Pac-Man and Sonic the hedgehog? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we may have just been introduced during Gamescom yesterday to the next winning combo that will go down in the annals of history. Bandai Namco and SEGA have announced that Pac-Man and Sonic will be teaming up in their upcoming games Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Take a gander:

First up, Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac will feature a Sonic the Hedgehog DLC pack that boast a Sonic costume for Pac-Man, as well as three stages based on the Blue Blur's world, including the iconic Green Hills Zone, which is shown off in the trailer. Players will also get access to a special Legendary Pac-Land costume to wear as a part of this bundle.

On the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds side of things, fans can look forward to Sonic and his ghost buddies being part of the racing roster, as well as tracks based on the character. Here are some more screenshots showing off this half of the collaboration:

Unfortunately, the CrossWorlds content won't hit until 2026, but so long as you have the Season Pass good to go, you'll get it once it eventually launches. It's always fun seeing companies team up like this, so hopefully Pac-Man and Sonic both benefit from the other's presence when this team-up goes live.
