Batman Day Celebrates the Character's 85th Anniversary Later This Month

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood has some special plans lined up.

Did you know Batman is turning 85 this year? The surprisingly well-preserved octogenarian is going to be celebrating the anniversary in style thanks to his friends at DC Comics and Warner Bros. Big things are afoot for this year's Batman Day festivities on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Let's go through some of what's on offer:



  • Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood will be doing a special screening of 1989's Batman starring Michael Keaton. Fans will also get to see original costumes, cowls, and Batmobiles during a one-hour behind the scenes tour.

  • Comic book shops will have for sale a number of Batman-centric titles, including a Deluxe Edition of Batman: The Long Halloween and the first issue of Batman The Long Halloween: The Last Halloween.

  • Max has its usual array of Batman films and TV shows to watch, but the debut of The Batman spin-off The Penguin will begin on this day.

  • Batman 85th Anniversary Collection brings ten Batman films in 4K UHD to fans in one set. Here's are the movies:

    • Batman: Assault on Arkham

    • Batman: The Killing Joke

    • Batman and Harley Quinn

    • Batman: Gotham by Gaslight
