Inker Jonathon Glapion, a longtime collaborator of Capullo's, has yet to be paid for work completed months ago.

Greg Capullo is a comic book legend. With unforgettable runs on series like Spawn and Batman, Capullo remains a hot commodity within the industry after decades of service. Of late, Capullo has been doing work over at Marvel, but that might change if management becomes unhappy with recent comments from the artist.

Capullo's longtime collaborator, inker Jonathan Glapion, has been in a struggle with Marvel over receiving payment for five covers that he inked; covers that he not only completed, but completed ahead of deadline. Capullo, backing Glapion, took to his X account to bring attention to the situation:

There is no justification for the lack of pay, of course, particularly coming from Marvel which is owned by Disney, one of the biggest companies on the planet. Some, including Rich Johnston of Bleeding Cool, have attempted to come up with excuses for the situation, alleging that recent Disney layoffs might be to blame for Glapion not getting paid, for instance. That's also rather preposterous, but first, here's Perch from the YouTube channel Comics by Perch to give his take on why:

To piggyback off of Perch, this isn't the first time complaints like this have been levied at Marvel. No matter how you slice it, it's shameful that Glapion or any other comic book creator find themselves unpaid for work. Hopefully, with Capullo and others now bringing more light to this situation, Marvel will be compelled to finally give Glapion what he's owed.
