Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr. headline the latest from the beloved writer.
Mark Millar is ramping up for a productive 2025. Millarworld, the writer's beloved imprint, has several new projects waiting in the wings to excite fans. Arguably the headlining act will be the reunion of Millar and legendary artist John Romita, Jr. early this summer on a "hugely controversial" series that will fill "a huge gap in the market" that the duo spotted. Remember, these two created Kick-Ass, so if Millar says the book will be controversial, he's likely right.
Next up is Nemesis: Forever. The book will bring back artist Valerio Giangiordano, who drew the recent (and excellent) Nemesis: Rogues' Gallery series. This new book will set Nemesis loose on an island full of corrupt billionaires (not unlike a certain real life destination) alongside his evil sidekick, Rookie. That series will hit late summer.
Finally, Millar will be working with artist Per Berg, AKA Narhwal, on Vatican City. This comic is all about a world overrun with vampires and the only surviving humans being 2,000 people locked safe inside of the nominal Vatican City. Come April, Vatican City will be in a comic shop near you.
Pretty exciting stuff from a creator who is arguably at the top of his game still, with little signs of slowing down. Hit up your LCS to reserve copies of all three series for yourself.
