NYCC '26: Superboy-Prime Special #1 Drops in 2027

Joshua Williamson and Dan Mora team for this new one-shot.

Superboy-Prime made a spash with fans when Joshua Williamson decided to try and rehabilitate the character. Taking over for Superman in the wake of the DC K.O. event series, Superboy-Prime worked at a Metropolis Midtown Comics, broke the fourth wall a lot, and made an impression on readers as he tried his hand at being a hero once more. Now, with Clark Kent back as the lead in the mainline Superman comic, Superboy-Prime will be getting a little more time in the spotlight with a new, one-shot comic book next year.

Dubbed Superboy-Prime Special #1, this comic book is written by Joshua Williamson, who is reteamed with artist Dan Mora. The story follows up on the pair's Prime Time Superman arc and expands upon Superboy-Prime's redemption in that story. There's no release date just yet for this one, but we do know it will come out at some point in 2027. Are you excited for more Superboy-Prime? Share with us on social media!
